The award ceremony for the 10th Riva1920 Design Awards took place on Friday, 24 April 2026, in the prestigious setting of the ADI Design Museum in Milan. This edition of the ideas competition was dedicated to the design of storage furniture.
Promoted by Riva1920, with the patronage of ADI and Archiproducts as media partner, the initiative involved young designers, students and professionals invited to interpret a key theme in contemporary living: storage furniture as a functional, aesthetic and design element, capable of enhancing both the raw material and artisanal know-how.
During the event, the six winning projects were announced, divided into two categories: Under 26 and Over 26. Three projects were awarded in each category, selected for their originality, design coherence, attention to materials and ability to interpret the values that have always defined Riva1920: wood culture, sustainability, craftsmanship and Made in Italy quality.
The ceremony was opened by Maurizio Riva, President of Riva1920, together with his nephew Mattia Borroni, the fifth generation of the family within the company, bearing witness to the continuity between tradition and future that has guided the company’s history for over a century.

Guests of honour for the evening included Luciano Galimberti, President of ADI; Andrea Cancellato, President of the ADI Design Museum; Aldo Colonnetti, philosopher, historian and theorist of art, design and architecture; and Roberta Dragone, Executive Editor of Archiproducts, media partner of the competition. Their presence helped enrich the discussion on the value of design, design culture and the role of new generations.
